New Brunswick, NJ has been a breeding ground for some amazing original music acts – and The Anderson Council is definitely high up on the list. When the garage/psychedelic rock quartet needed a video to support their upcoming album release, they called on Ironbird Studios to direct the production. The band wanted a high-energy video based around their quaint basement rehearsal space. We made the most of the room through the use of colorful lighting and powerful camera angles and movement. To heighten the visual energy, we intentionally broke continuity with a constant rotation of wardrobe changes. Ironbird Studios had a great time working on this music video with The Anderson Council, and wishes them the best of luck with the album release.
On the heels of our NJ Surf Show video production – the featured sponsor, Bamboo Booboo Eco Clothing, brought in Ironbird Studios to produce a company profile video at their studio. Bamboo Booboo produces eco-friendly clothing using sustainably grown bamboo fiber garments. All of their products are designed and printed locally at their Jersey shore location. In this profile video, the owner, Kris Kopsaftis, explains the company ideology and how producing eco-friendly clothing is a challenge in the current economic climate.
Ironbird Studios was recently hired to produce a promotional recap video for the 2012 NJ Surf Show. This event focuses on supporting local surf & skate companies by raising brand awareness. The event was held right on the beach at Joey Harrison’s Surf Club in Ortley Beach, NJ – and allowed local vendors and artists to showcase their surf centric goods to over 600 like-minded attendees. The event was spearheaded by Kris Kopsaftis, the founder of the organization and president of Bamboo Booboo Eco Clothing. We look forward to doing more production for the group in the future. Ironbird Studios had a wonderful time working with Jen & Bret to produce a hilarious and quirky wedding music video. The production included lip-syncing to 3 different songs…all about…who else… “JENNY”. (The music includes the chorus of “Jenny From the Block” by J-Lo, 867-5309/Jenny by Tommy Tutone, and the first verse of “Jenifa Taught Me” by De La Soul.)

Ironbird Studios had the pleasure of working with Kathryn and Brennan to produce video for their stunning Christmas themed wedding. The day started at the beautiful home of Kathryn’s family and ended at the Baltusrol Golf Club, where the couple celebrated with family and friends. The highlight video was set to music by the Zac Brown Band and Jackie Wilson.
Jersey City band Big Wake teamed up with Ironbird Studios once again to produce video for their debut show at The Bitter End. The 3 camera production was edited and mixed by Angelo Ucciferri at Ironbird Studios. The legendary venue is NYC’s longest running rock club – and provides multitrack recording services to the bands. This allows us to fine tune the mix during post production and provide a much better soundtrack than a standard soundboard feed.

Ironbird Studios was excited to be a part of a special night of live music at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ. The evening featured performances by The Old Wives, Beninghove’s Hangmen, and The One and Nines (who were celebrating the release of their new album). Ironbird Studios recently produced another live concert video for Kiwi; a 9-piece reggae/roots project out of Jersey City, NJ. Headlining at the famous Bitter End nightclub in Greenwich Village, NYC – Kiwi delivered a passionate performance – all captured on a multitrack audio recording. The audio recording, totaling 18 tracks, was mixed by Angelo Ucciferri in Ironbird Studios’ mix room – and synced up with the video during the editing phase.

The huge stage and classic ambiance of the Historic Blairstown Theater was a perfect setting for the Quimby Mountain Band record release show.
